Kulkarni and Founder Honorary Secretary Principal S. Kulkarni is a keen practitioner in the field of cooperation. Shri Datta Nagari Patsantha was established on 2nd May 1992, with the cooperation of a few well wishers, to launch a co-operative society that embodies the ideology of the cooperative field. The actual work was started on 15 June 1992 in a room of 10 by 10.

On the occasion of the formal inauguration of the society, an office bearer of the cooperative had made a statement that "No credit socity can distribute loans to the members without borrowing from the central bank". But today, the same Shri Datta nagari sah Patsanstha has been making deposits in other banks without taking any central bank loan.

The main business of the credit institution is to distribute the loan on the deposits in the credit institution. While maintaining the total deposit ratio of the loan, the credit institution mainly maintains member loans, business loans, vehicle loan, realdept , contingent loans, cash credit loans, with interest rates on loans up to 11% & 15% and maximum loan limit of Rs 30 lakh. Shri Datta Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha has successfully completed many activities in the past due to the goodwill of social transformation with financial transactions. During the Dunkel proposal, the organization has kept in constant contact with the community while providing useful service to the community in various ways, including guidance sessions on Prabodhan, guidance from the credit societies, conducting financial guidance camps, defects and difficulties in the field of cooperation. In this way, the task of enlightenment begins with the organization. At present, the credit union has three permanent employees and 20 pygmy agents are in the service sector. The employees of the institute have provided the facility of provident fund and leave facilities as per the rules of the cooperative department. The organization has provided a loan of 11% for employees and pygmy agents. Every year, most Piggy collectors are encouraged by prize giving at the Annual Meeting, among all the Pygmy Agents.

It is the responsibility of the employee to run the business on the basis of the same management. The board of directors of the credit society has prepared staff semeniums for the employees from the financial year 6-8. The annual Ahwal Competition (Fiscal Year 2010-2011) was organized for the civil banks and co-operative societies of Maharashtra in the name of Sahkar Sugandha Pratibimb. This competition was participated in by around 300 to 350 credit institutions from all over Maharashtra, reflecting the hard work, planning and achievements achieved by the co-operative organization in the annual report.
