Cyber Security Instructions for Members and Consumers -

1. Set up your password and PIN complex.

2. Use small, capital letters and symbols in the password.

3. The password should be changed every fortnight.

4. Don't reuse a previously used password or PIN.

5. The most common passwords are admin, password, 123, 1234, qwerty, etc.

6. Do not use your vehicle number, date of birth, etc. as a password.

7. Your passwords should not be saved on mobile.

8. In no case should your PIN number, ATM Card Number, OTP etc. be handled over the phone.

9. Don't use your e-mail account from a stranger's computer.

10. Install licensed antivirus before using internet from mobile. Update regularly.

11. Before installing any app on mobile, it should read the permissions requested. Permit permission to use the camera or contact.

12. Set up a PIN or pattern lock on your mobile.

13. Perform a factory reset when giving your old mobile to another. Also, the SIM card and the memory card should not be used.

14. When using a search engine (eg Google), make sure you open a site that is open and then open it.

15. Do not enter any of your information on a site that is stranger or enticing.

16. Don't click on any offers offered by email.

17. You should probably use a site that starts with https (secured).

18. Hold your PIN while entering the PIN in the ATM so your pin number is not visible in the camera.

19. Do not connect to any stranger or open WiFi network.

20. If you are using your own WiFi, set its password string. Hide ssid possibly.

21. Use a MAC filter on a WiFi network.

22. In the event of any unexpected message or phone call, contact the concerned bank or financial institution immediately.
